About Us

Georgetown Paddle Company was derived from many family discussions at the dinner table, on a road trip, by telephone conversations, spur of the moment thoughts and so on. Over the course of two years, what began as a distant thought became a mediocre possibility and has now become an exciting reality. The Embry Sisters, Morghan, Kelsie and MacKayla, have spent most their lives in Georgetown and feel strongly that their venture will offer people of all ages an affordable and entertaining activity in Georgetown. For visitors or residents, it is sure to be an excellent addition to the entertainment our valued Georgetown has to offer.

Paddleboarding will be a fun activity for families, friends, team building, clubs, or church groups. Safety is our top priority and ask that all customers abide by all laws and rules applicable.

GT Paddle Co. will launch from the ramps on Lake Georgetown at Cedar Breaks Park, Jim Hogg Park or Russell Park. They will meet you at the ramp of your choice for drop-off and pick-up. Reservations via website or phone are available.

EmbryMorghan Embry

At 24 years old, Morghan has worked in the wedding industry since she interned for a wedding venue her junior year of college. After just 3 ½ years, she received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration Degree from Belmont University in 2013. As much as Morghan loved Nashville, she missed her Texas roots and being close to family so she decided to move back to Georgetown in May 2014. When not working, Morghan likes to spend time with her favorite people, scrapbook, watch movies, go to sporting events or attend concerts. She is also known for her talented gift of singing. Although Morghan’s true professional passion lies within the wedding industry, her entrepreneurial spirit and love for activities in the water makes her very excited and optimistic about this new venture with Paddleboard rentals. Morghan has always loved the water, whether it is unwinding by the pool, floating the river, or taking on Schlitterbahn Waterpark, all of which appeal to her element. In the summer of 2013 she went paddleboarding in Missouri for the first time and was instantly captivated. In addition to all her attributions and accomplishments in her budding career, Morghan is thrilled to continue putting her business intuition and education in growing Georgetown Paddle Company in its upcoming third season.

Kelsie Embry

At 23 years old, Kelsie is a personal trainer, who lives and breathes health and fitness everyday, personally and professionally. Although she resides in Nashville, Tennessee, she loves coming home to Texas to spend time with her family and sisters, who also double as her best friends. She grew up an athlete, so you could say it is in her blood. Kelsie still enjoys most any form of fitness and currently lives a very active lifestyle running, hiking, and familiarizing herself in the art of yoga. The first time Kelsie put her feet on a paddleboard in Austin on Lady Bird Lake, she loved how invigorating and social it was, all while getting in a gratifying work out, which was just an added bonus. In addition to Lady Bird Lake, she has also paddled in Missouri, Colorado and Tennessee. She is certified and up to date in CPR and First Aid. It is a priority to her to continuously learn about the many different areas of wellness to enhance her knowledge with physical fitness. When not working, Kelsie likes to spend time with her favorite people, read a good book or participate in outdoor activities. Kelsie is eager to see where Georgetown Paddle Company will lead her and is incredibly excited to be a factor in bringing such a fun and healthy activity to her hometown.

MacKayla Embry

At 20 years old, MacKayla is a student at Texas A&M University pursuing a degree in kinesiology. Once her bachelor degree has been completed, MacKayla plans to attend graduate school with aspirations in sports physiology. Since 4-years-old, she has been a sports enthusiast and has always had a love and passion for athletics/fitness. Through the years she has trained at high intensity levels, including CrossFit workouts, strength training and college level drills. MacKayla loved paddle boarding from the first time she climbed on a board in Colorado. When not studying or working, MacKayla likes to spend time with her favorite people, watch movies, dabble with photography or attend concerts. As active as she’s always been, she was astounded at the fact that this new sport brought fun and fitness together and therefore had her hooked from the “get go”. She has also paddleboarded in Austin, Texas and Branson, Missouri with family and friends. Born and raised in Georgetown, Texas, MacKayla is very excited to be a part of a new business that will bring so much fun to her hometown and all that visit.
